SYNOPSIS: Krugman has indeed been writing about the liquidity trap contrary to what Mickey Kaus says

Some correspondents have asked why I don't  write about the liquidity trap in the NY Times. Actually I do, often - though usually without using the term. And take a look at  The fear economy  , where I actually do use the term and explain the whole thing.

But I guess since it was published in such an obscure place - a cover story in the NYT magazine - it doesn't count.

OK, maybe I shouldn't be so snippy. I almost forgot about it myself. But I have been telling a consistent story. Oh, and by the way, I think the piece, published in Sept. 2001, still looks pretty much on target.
